City of Ottawa Bonspiel Banner

The City of Ottawa Bonspiel dates back to February, 1956 when 76 teams competed for eight trophies. After 52 years, the bonspiel now consists of three divisions and 27 events. In 2008, the Open Division (men over 19) had 179 teams, the Senior Division (men over 50) had 56 teams and the Senators Division (men over 65) had 24 teams. Out-of-town teams stay at the Lord Elgin Hotel in the heart of downtown Ottawa for only $127 per night. A Banquet, with entertainment, is held on Friday night for all participants.
